Research on Sustainable Management of the First-class Official Athletics Stadiums

- Analysis Focusing on the Type of Audience Seats

Abstract

The objective of this study is to understand the characteristics of the stands, location and operations management, and to clarify the awareness of the owners for each type of audience seats, positioning it as a basic study to examine the sustainable management of the first-class official athletics stadiums.
They can be roughly divided into two types according to audience seats. Next, we set items and categories of the stands, location, and operation management, and grasped the characteristics of each type. It was found that the facilities with all chair seating were found to be used more often to accommodate spectators. Furthermore, we conducted an survey of awareness with the owners to understand satisfaction with the owned facilities and future services. Facilities with lawn seats were less interested in hosting large scale conventions, while those with all chair seating were more willing to be used for multiple purposes.
