Abstract
This paper describes technical problmes of maintaining and managing database of educational documents (EDMARS). To check the accuracy of input data, three areas 'such as education of phisics, education of mathematics and educational psychology were selected. Then their data and the content of original papers were carefully compared. As a result, quite many discordances between data base and original papers were found. Main discordances were caused by the following : (1) simple typing error (2) misplaced words (3) missing part of a title (4) original discordance between a paper and its contents (5) use of kanji characters which do not exist on standard machine code (6) mistransformation from an uppercase letter to a lowercase letter and hiragana to katakana and vice versa. This paper discusses counter-measures against above-mentioned causes at each step of collection, input and modification.
