Abstract
In the previous paper, we described the simple screening methods for the environmental mutagens using Bacillus subtilis and Escherichia coli. We now described a simple and rapid microbial bioassay systems to screen the desmutagens and antimutagens from various sources. Juice prepared from vegetables and human saliva inactivated the chemical mutagen by working directly on it. Some chemical compounds from natural sources suppressed UV mutagenesis in Escherichia coli WP2s . The introduction of these experimental systems into science education and health education in high school were also discussed.
