Abstract
The group organized in 1994 to establish a plan for the development of a New Mathematics-Informatics Curriculum has worked on the framework for the project. In 1994, Prof. Fujita reported "A proposal from Mathematics. New Mathematical Intelligence in the Next Century and Course of Study in Mathematics and Science,-" which was used as a starting point to establish a plan. Since that time, the circumstances concerning mathematics education have been changed dramatically. Against this change, several recommendations have been made by a number of professional organizations. Based on these recommendations, the group has re-examined new goals and frameworks for mathematics education. The group proposed the following three key points for curriculum development. 1) Identifying Requirements for a New Curriculum under the "New Scientific Paradigm", 2) A New "Math. for All" Curriculum. and 3) Overcoming "Students' Attitude of Dislike of Math." Based on these key points, objectives of study for each key point and project-teams are proposed in this report.
