Abstract
Thirteen handreds and thiry-four absturets of the Congress of the Japanese Society of Stoma Rehabilitation during the last 16 years since the foundation of the Society,were reviewed to analyse outcomes and to recongnize changes and recent trend of researches on stoma care in our country. The peroid of 16 years were divided into three,the first period (209 papers),the middle (360) and the last(745). The papers were evaluated and classified into 3 levels. Level 1 were papers which only introduce methods of medical treatment and stoma care. Level 2 were those which clarify problems to be solved. Level 3 were those which analtse the problems and suggest the solution. Analysis were separetely done in 15 areas of stoma rehabilitation. Although in the last period level 3 papers were increasing,it was recognized that stoma rehabilitation varies with areas in its development. Problems in most areas are left to be solved in the next century.
