Abstract
Karaya, sodium carboxylmethyl cellulose(CMC),styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer(SIS)and so on are used as materials of skin barriers. According to combination and proportion of these materials, the characteristic of skin barriers are different on each other. In order to examine characteristic of skin-barriers,water absorption ability, buffer action to skin, resistance to peeling force(i.e.adhesive ability of skin barrier)and time-depending change in shape were tested. Skin barriers made of Karaya and CMC have better water absorption ability and better buffer action, while skin barriers SIS made of SIS did not change its shape and could be longer used compared with Karaya and CMC.
