Abstract
As the result of the experiment conducted in the dry season of Mekon Delta, the combined use of black plastic film and rice straw for the mulching of crop culture, the former on the planting beds and the latter on the spaces between beds were recommended. The plastic mulch was superior to rice straw mulch on both the soil moisture conservation and weed control. Rice straw mulch lowered somewhat soil temperature.
