Abstract
The effect of chloramben (3-amino-2, 5-dichlorobenzoic acid) and vernolate (s-propyle dipropyl-thiocarbamate) on weed control in peanut and mung bean were investigated in the Tropics. Chloramben controlled sufficiently annual weeds but ineffective for perennial grass. Vernolate was moderately effective for both weeds. Seedling emergence of mung bean was greatly depressed by the soil surface application of chloramben.
