Abstract

Recently in Japan, the occurrence of traffic accidents cause to erroneous or dangerous driving has become a serious social problem. While the development of automated driving technology that does not require the driving operation for the vehicle is underway, there are many issues that need to be resolved, and it will take some time before the technology can be introduced. Therefore, it is essential to promote prevention safety technologies that support driver operation. In this study, the anomaly driving detection method was proposed and verified the effectiveness of this method, based on the concept that when driving is likely to lead to accidents, the driver's driving behavior tend to anomaly. The proposed method was applied with two different approaches. The effectiveness of the proposed method was verified by setting up a scene of inattention to safety at an intersection, and the detection results suggested that the application of the proposed method may lead to a reduction in accidents.
