Abstract
The tumor produced by the implantation of HeLa cell into conditioned rat was recultivated and has been successively subcultivated. (We named this substrain of HeLa cell as “HeLa-R cell”).
The susceptibility of HeLa-R cell to ECHO virus Type 6, poliovirus Type 2 and adenovirus Type 3 was studied in comparison with original HeLa cell.
Results were as follows:
1) The cytopathogenic effect of ECHO virus Type 6 was developed more rapidly in HeLa-R cell than in HeLa cell. But the CPE of poliovirus Type 2 and adenovirus Type 3 was developed equally in both cell lines.
2) The multiplications of ECHO virus Type 6, poliovirus Type 2 and adenovirus Type 3 were equally observed in both cell lines.
