Abstract

To evaluate an ecotoxicity of leachates, we conducted an ecotoxicity test using earthworm. We evaluated the ecotoxicity of leachate by avoidance behavior. Earthworm avoided several somple of leachates. These results paralleled with the results of toxicity test of Daphnia magna. Our results revealed that avoidance behavior was caused by some organic compounds as well as salts in leachates.
