Abstract
Paying attention to the fact that there must be any paper machine's wire breadth suitable for each paper grade, the writer suggests there being some proper economical breadths for various papers, discussing that taking into consideration of shrinkage in wet sheets, some allowances should be permitted among actual, breadths of wire in the paper machine. The writer aims to realise the standardization of paper machine design with the result of swing on wires, felts, machinery parts, etc.
