Abstract
This study performed consideration concerning the sustainability system of the island settlement in Setonaikai (Seto inland sea) besides the Iwaishima settlement. And the following was obtained. (1)The settlement constitutes space original with the settlement from under limited land conditions. (2)The element of a life and social composition of the settlement exists being connected with the space composition of the settlement. (3)The settlement is being continuously reproduced with original reproduction conditions.(4)The sustainability system of the settlement exists as support to the technical tradition for maintenance of the settlement.
