Abstract

The aim of this research is to get some suggestions of how to make after natural disaster recovering by tracing actual conditions of restorations private resources of local people in Izu-Oshima island. People there have been suffered from many natural disasters (ex. eruptions of the volcano Mt. Mihara and typhoons) and have changed their life-styles. This research focuses on two disasters in the island (the big fire at Motomachi area in 1965 and the landslide at the same area in 2013) and observes the relocation process of victims. Finally we indicate some guidance of natural disaster recovering of the government.
