Rectal Mucosal Pull-Through Surgical Technique for Canine Rectal Multiple Tumor

Abstract

We performed the rectal mucosal pull-through technique in 13 cases of canine multiple rectal masses with refractory hematochezia without invasion of gastrointestinal smooth muscle. All cases have no recurrence and hematochezia improved following the surgery during 6 to 59 months (median 26 months) in observation period. We concluded that the rectal mucosal pull-through surgical technique is useful for treatment of multiple canine rectal masses.
