Enflurane anesthesia in 7 clinical cases of 10-14 year-old, poor risk (ps 2-4) dogs were studied.
The result showed that 1) There had a short, smooth period of preanesthesia and recovery stage. 2) The body temperature were depressed average 1.5°C/hour, after anesthesia it returned to preanesthesia temperature in 1 hour. 3) Respiratory depression were presented althout it were stable. 4) The blood presure were stablized in anesthesia. 5) There had no remarkable C.B.C. and serum chemistry changes, also didn't showed liver or/and renal disturbance. 6) Use enflurane anesthesia for aging or/and poor risk dogs as well as halothane, is an effective anesthesia for veterinary clinician.
