Abstract
Two cats with temporomandibular joint ankylosis accompanied with severe adhesion of zygomatic arch and mandibula caused by the trauma were treated aggressively. As unilateral or bilateral condylectomy did not improve the opening of mouth, unilateral partial vertical ramusectomy was added in case 1 and bilateral vertical ramusectomy was added in case 2. Aggressive surgical treatment and post operative rehabilitation resulted in good clinical outcome in both cases.
