Abstract
A pedicle graft from the bulbar conjunctiva was applied as a surgical treatment in 16 clinical cases of advanced corneal diseases (4 deep stromal ulcers, 5 descemetoceles, 5 ulcerative perforations, 2 traumatic corneal ruptures) in dogs and cats. Affected corneas were healed adequately and became clear without any opacity on the nongrafted area, although premature suture off and conjunctival dehiscence of graft were seen. Retention of scar in proportion to the size of pedicle flap was noticed in all cases, except one desemetocele case, in which cornea was became completely normal.
