Abstract
A 9-year-old mongrel male cat with anorexia and weight loss was revealed to havea tumor 4 cm in diameter in the abdominal cavity by palpation, and radiography demonstrated ectopia of the intestinal tract to the upper right with retention ofgas in the same region. By laparotomy, two solid masses were observed in the ileum with enlarged mesenteric lymph nodes. The ileum including the mesenteric lymph nodes was extensively by excised, and histopathologically, the mass was diagnosed as globule leukocyte tumor (GL tumor), possibly causing ileus. The cat survived postoperatively for months without signs of illness and died with ascites at6 months.
