Abstract
The immunizing value of six vaccines, egg agar vaccine, AHG egg agar vaccine, heat-killed vaccine, sod. carbonate vaccine, egg bouillon and yolk bouillon culture, was compared by intra-muscular inoculation of white leghorn chickens. The results of experiments are summarized as follows: (1) Series of comparison tests made on egg agar vaccine, AHG egg agar vaccine, heat-killed egg agar vaccine and sod. carbonate egg agar vaccine, the survival rate obtained was 49.51% in egg agar vaccine, 70.50% in AHG vaccine, 52.53% in heat-killed vaccine and 71.45% in sod. carbonate vaccine. (2) The survival rates in the non-diluted, 5 times and 10 times diluted AHG vaccine were 84.64%, 44.35% and 45% respectively. (3) In the comparison test of whole bouillon and yolk bouillon culture, the survival rate for vaccination with whole egg bouillon culture was 85.34% and that of yolk bouillon culture 47%.
