Abstract
1) The effect of sensitization on Yersin type fuberculosis in rabbits was investigated to explain the striking differences in the distribution of lesions and bacilli between Yersin and Villemin type tuberculosis. 2) The effect of sensitization was clearly observed in rabbits which had received intravenous reinoculation 2 to 4 weeks after the primary subcutaneous inoculation. 3) In well-sensitized rabbits, there was an accelerated response to reinoculated bacilli. The distribution of lesions and bacilli, as well as the pathological features of the lesions, were greatly modified to be close to those of Villemin type, even within the period of Yersin type tuberculosis.
