Abstract
Lightning simulation has been developed at Hydrospheric Atmospheric Research Center, Nagoya Unversity. It consists of noninductive charge generation, lightning discharge, and charge neutrization. Graupel and ice have an important role for the charge generation. It is very helpful to make use of a three dimensional image to evaluate three dimensional structures of each hydrometer and net charge density. POV-Ray is one of the powerful software to create three dimensional images. Three dimensional image of lightning simulation results shows a triple-pole structure of net charge density. The lightning discharge point exists the boundary between the upper positive and the middle negative charge region. Stereovision image shows more detailed three dimensional structures of hydrometers and discharging paths.
