Biomimetics and Flows in a Body of Animals and Plants

Abstract

Inner flows in animals’ and plants’ body are focusing on this general remarks. Flow measured in a proboscis of mosquito is investigated for estimating necessary power to drive a micro pump and for design of the pump. Driving mechanisms of sap flow and micro flow in veins of plants are discussed. A network system of the leaf veins is considered for robustness to damages.
