Abstract
A new method for the measurement of the intersections of streak lines and time lines produced by hydrogen bubble technique is proposed. The intersections are defined as follows: 1) measurement of centroids of grid spaces which are encircled by streak and time lines. 2) calculation of the coordiantes of midpoints on each sides of a quadrilateral made by four centroids arround an intersection. 3) calculation of the intersection of two lines connecting midpoints of the oppsite sides. 4) the coordinate of the above intersection corresponds to the location of the intersection of streak and time lines approximately. We use a 256×256 region from an original image, which is near the circular cylinder and shows greater deformation. Close agreement between calculated values and values by human observation was obtained.
