Abstract
Cloud formations and precipitation are highly-complicated phenomena, and the accurate modeling of them is a crucial subject for meteorological simulations. Recently, we developed a new algorithm, which enables the first-principle simulation of cloud formation process, by introducing a new numerical concept called "super-droplet".
In this paper, we report about the visualization of the cloud formation-precipitation simulation using the super-droplet method. The technique to visualize the distribution of all droplets included in a cumulus cloud will be explained, and some application results of it will be also presented for the analysis of droplet size spectrum, cloud motion, and the optical property of cloud, respectively.
