Abstract
Improvement of the atmospheric pressure radio-frequency (RF) corona torch was done for formation of discharge plasma which did not necessarily require rare gas. Discharge plasma using N2 gas was formed by changing the structure of the electrode in the corona torch and applying time-modulated RF power. This paper presents the results of systematically investigated discharge properties in the improved corona torch and plasma treatments of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) films.
