抄録

The Anthor criticises the merits and the defects of double tube (differential) or mono tube method of leak detection using hot filament ionization gauge.
In case of using Acetone or ether as probe material, the mono tube method has comparable sensitivity as that of differential method, though the “Image effect” named by the author, sometimes gives various modes of wave form of the detected out put current.
