The purpose of this study is to clarify the dependence of hydrophilicity and thickness on Shirasu thin films. Therefore, I prepared shiras thin films with different film thicknesses and measured the contact angle and surface structure of each film thickness with respect to the elapsed time. As a result, as the film thickness increases, the hydrophilicity does not easily deteriorate and the surface becomes rougher, which can be explained by considering the Wenzel model. As a future subject, it is necessary to clarify the influence of organic substance adsorption which is the cause of hydrophilicity deterioration.
