Copper oxide nanowires fabricated by thermal oxidation method usually have good crystallinity and high aspect ratio, which is attractive for use in high-performance optical and electronic devices. In this work, we focused on the copper oxide nanowire whose diameter is more than 100 nm and investigated the structure. From a combination of the results of micro-raman spectroscopy and electron backscatter diffraction, it was found that Cu2O/CuO heterostructure is formed at the thick region of the nanowire.
