Photocatalytic acetaldehyde degradation on CeO₂ nanoparticles synthesized by crystallized glass method

Abstract

An increase in surface area is effective way to enhance photocatalytic activity, then it is important to synthesize nanoparticles. In this study, we attempted to synthesize CeO₂ nanoparticles by crystallized glass method. It was found that crystallization temperature plays an important factor to control the morphology and size of CeO₂ nanoparticles. Relationship between photocatalytic acetaldehyde degradation and crystallization temperature is discussed.
