Abstract
Termiticidal performance of the entomogenous fungus Metarhizium anisopliae ESC 1 was investigated in laboratory tests, using the commercial formulation "Bio-BlastTM". It contains conidia of M. anisopliae ESC 1 .
The soil treated with conidia of this strain showed strong termiticidal performance to Cop-totermes formosanus and Reticulitermes speratus. The termiticidal performance was enhanced as the number of conidia in the treated soil increased. In the temperature range from 25°C to 30°C, this strain germinated and grew well, resulting in high termiticidal performance.
