Influences of the cutting parameters on the shape of kerf in laser-cutting of acrylic resin plate

Abstract

The influence of cutting speed and focal length of lens on shape of kerf of acrylic resin plate by laser cutting is examined. The influence of focal length and plate thickness on maximum cutting speed was also quantitatively clarified. Entrance width of kerf is almost determined by focal length, and influence of the cutting speed is low. The whole kerf shape changes with depending on cutting speed.
