Abstract

Joints of the metal and plastic have been often used in several industries. We have newly developed a noble Laser-Assisted Metal and Plastic (LAMP) joining method unique in the world. This report showed that LAMP joing between polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and stainless steel produced desirable high-strength joints.
