Micro-friction stir spot welding of high conductivity metals

Abstract

Copper and aluminum are frequently used in electric circuit device. However, it is difficult to join by resistance spot welding due to their high electric conductivity. The objectives of this study are to develop the micro-friction stir spot welding for high conductivity metals and investigate the microstructures and welding process.
