Abstract
Laser welding that has the high energy density is excellent method , because of narrow welding bead and heat-affected zone. However, when steel sheet is welded without shielding gas, thick iron oxide film forms on the surface of the weld. And thick iron oxide film causes reduction of coating adhesion. This report shows about behavior of iron oxide film and influence on coating adhesion.
