Abstract
The joints of the carbon steel sheets were obtained using friction stir welding with the liquid CO2. The effect of the liquid CO2 was investigated to obtain good mechanical properties and microstructure of the joints. The optimum welding parameters were determined for the FSW with liquid CO2 joints of carbon steel sheets.
