Abstract
Fill added laser-arc hybrid welding (FLA welding) process was known as an useful method for improving the gap tolerance because of its high deposition rate and low arc current. It was reported by the authors that a lap fillet joint of thin mild steel sheet of 1.2 mm with a gap of 1.2 mm could be welded sucessfully. In this report, the welding results including filler melting phenomena of 1.6 mm thick mild steel sheet would be reported.
