Development of automatic welding system for large-sized water wheel runner

Abstract

Water wheel runner is representative of a large structure. However, the automatic welding is difficult. It is because the weld line is changed in three dimensions. Therefore, we have produced in manual welding. We developed groove shapes sensor with automatic welding system, applied to the actual water wheel runner.
