Abstract

Four educational programmes of the International Baccalaureate is based on active learning. “Primary years programme” of IB shows character of active learning most typically in four programmes. The most characteristic difference between “Primary years programme” and other active learning is the inquiry about “Central-idea” of “transdisciplinary theme” and “concepts-based learning”. I research a conceptual thinking and it's possibility. I think that it greatly contributes to developing the active learning. By the way, eight “concepts” that are used to learn of “Primary years programme” of IB are not apparent to which stage of the recognition deepening towards grasp of the essence of realistic existence. Therefore I think to clarify validity and the limit characteristics of each concept by depending on the theory of inference of Hegel. And I intend to consider what kind of conceptual thought toward “Central-idea” of “transdisciplinary theme” is possible, using each concepts of “Primary years programme” of IB. In addition, it will be revealed what kind of requirements are necessary for each conceptual recognition.
