Oscillation of the crane barge by the influence of waves during lifting operation is a vital problem of coastal construction work. However, there is not much general knowledge about the suspended load response itself to the periodic motion of the jib top. In this study, dynamic numerical analysis using time integrals of the generalized-α method was conducted by investigating the response of a suspended load during the movement of jib top in horizontal, vertical, and circumference periodic motion. As a result, it found that suspended load response is always amplified within the range of actual ocean wave periods and that it is necessary to solve the equations of motion over time for quantitative evaluation.
