Abstract
In the year 2002, a company employee got the Novel prize for chemistry. His name is Kouichi Tanaka a staff of Shimazu Seisakusho. We Japanese were impressed with the news. Especially, many people were moved by Mr.Tanaka's fine personality and modesty.
This modest personality is very important for science and technology, because it gets intuition and sensitivity. And this intuition and sensitivity are born of literary culture. Generally, we observe that science and technology are the study of logical and rational thinking. But many great scientists and technical experts emphasize the importance of literary culture. For example, Professor Kawaguchi a project leader of JAXA said that the sprit and mind helped "Hayabusa Project" to succeed. I think that literary culture is human appeal, broader view, sense of history, pride of one's country, pleasure of life, and great talent. For the reasons of stated above, I will write this paper with forcefull mind.
