In the previous paper (Journal of this Society, No.92, Dec.1959) the author has introduced the new method of finding cavitation limit of marine screw propellers by using Gutsche's wind tunnel results. After that he tried to find the relation between ζ_a and σ for the cavitation criterion by a proper analysis of actual trial results of ships and obtained the following relation [numerical formula] This relation is in good agreement with that obtained from Gutsche's and Schoen-herr's diagram (as shown in Fig.4). The actual application of this new theory is also explained by a numerical example.
