Twentysix years old patient after artificial abortion (12 weeks of Pregnancy) was admitted with the following signs and symptoms: fever over 40°C in maximum (remittent), abdomin, al pain and leucocytosis.
Causal microrganism isolated from the blood stream was Bacterium anitratum (Type 6)(gram-negative bacilli), whereas from the uterus and vagina the test remained negative. According to the plate method, isolated strains were susceptible to kanamycin and tetracycline.
The patient was treated by intramuscular injection of kanamycin 1g/day and discharged. from the hospital on the 20th day of illness.
