A 22 year old female, ingested 60 tablets of Sedes A(R), equivalent 4.8g of acetaminophen, as a suicidal attempt, was admitted to our hospital under semicoma state. Her serum levels of GOT and GPT reached over 10000 IU on the 5th day, although serum bilinlbin level was moderately elevated to 2.2mg/dl. Prothrombin time was prolonged to 17.4 sec and hepaplastin test was 34%. Abdominal CT on the 17th day showed almost normal liver and liver biopsy specimen at the 24th day showed balloonig change in hepatocyte. She was treated by intravenous glucose containing 1-2g glutathione and serum levels of GOT and GPT became normal within 1 month.
