We studied Pre-S1/S2 peptides in different hepatitis B vaccines and their productivity of antibodies against Pre-S1/S2 peptides by immunoblotting method.
We found relatively large amount of Pre-S1/S2 peptides in one plasma derived HB vaccine, not in another two plasma derived HB vaccines and in one HB vaccine from recombinant yeast.
Antibodies for Pre-S1/S2 were found in 23.6% of individuals who were vaccined with Pre-S1/S2 peptides positive vaccine, and positive for anti-HBs antibody.
These data suggested that some plasma derived vaccines had the productivity of antibodies for Pre-S1/S2.
