Abstract
In Hokkaido the forest damage caused by fires is the greatest in Kitami district, the fact being foreseen from its climatic and topographic conditions. As the causes of fires are almost all artificial, it would be possible to take measure against the forest fire hazard, if the elements having influence upon the forest fire hazard can be rightly analysed.
The writers tried to analyse the forest fire hazard in Kitami district, Hokkaido.
