About the present condition of the bisphosphonate Related Osteonecrosis of the Jaws

Abstract

The bisphosphonate plays a major role to the patient with osteoporosisʼs QOL improvement. However, neither a lot of doctors nor dentists have precise knowledge of the Bisphosphonate‒ Related Osteonecrosis of the Jaws（BRONJ）, about the incidence, the morbidity, the treatment, nor the prevention, which is the complication caused after surgical dental treatment such as tooth extraction. This time, we report the current incidence of the BRONJ, and consider of the present state and view of the BRONJ treatment.
