We studied the influence of phagocytosis of leucocytes on the multiplication of tubercle bacilli according to the following methode. Tubercle bacilli which were taken up by phagocytic cells in the peritoneal cavity of guinea pigs were incubated in the whole blood of same animals by Wright's slide celle culture. The results of cultivation are as follows.
