Abstract
This paper introduces two books about specialty paper published in China. These books are described in detail about the definition,kinds,the usages and the manufacturing process of converted paper,specialty paper and high performance paper. These excel very much as a reference book for engineers and as a teaching material for professional training. Moreover,the converter and conversion process of coated paper,cast-coated paper,laminated paper and impregnated paper is well explained. In addition,each feature of raw materials such as synthetic fibers,inorganic fibers,animal fibers and various chemicals/auxiliary agents for making specialty paper are also introduced. The outline of the paper industry in China,especially development situation of the specialty paper in recent years, is added as reference data.
