Abstract
We regard the troponoid compounds as a potential chromophore or fluorophore. Now, Bis(2-N,N-dialkylaminotropon-5-yl)butadiyne and Bis(2-N,iso-monoalkylaminotropon-5-yl)butadiyne have been synthesized and emission spectra have been investigated in solution. We represent the synthesis and the electronic structure has been characterized by the UV-Vis spectra and the fluorescent spectra of the title butadiynes. The ethanol solution of Bis(2-N,N-dialkylaminotropon-5-yl)butadiyne did not show the fluorescence at room temperature, but showed the fluorescence at 77 K. On the other hand, The ethanol solution of Bis(2-N,iso-monoalkylaminotropon-5-yl)butadiyne showed the fluorescence at both room temperature and 77 K. In addition, 77 K became increase in intensity of fluorescence of Bis(2-N,iso-monoalkylaminotropon-5-yl)butadiyne than the room temperature
